How does the consult work?

When you click the button and schedule your plan, we’ll give you a call at the time you choose. Once you book, you’ll get a link to fill out our consult form.

We boldly claim that we tend to save clients a ton of money by correcting repayment mistakes. Here are a few examples:

  • Public health dentist was on the wrong repayment plan for PSLF and made a tax filing mistake. Projected Cost: $50,000
  • Private practice associate thought she needed to refinance when she had another option. Projected Cost: $90,000
  • Dental practce owner incorrectly believed his payments could not be reduced because of his high income. Projected Cost: $80,000

During the first 15 min of the call, we get to know your goals.

Then, we’ll spend about 30 minutes discussing our analysis and ensuring you understand the pros and cons of all your available repayment options.

In the last 15 minutes, we review action steps and ensure you understand how to achieve the recommended changes in your strategy.

What is the cost?

We're not trying to sell $10,000 financial plans around here.
In fact, many fiduciary financial planners refer their clients to us because all we do is specialize in complex student loan analysis.

For all fans get $100 OFF our price of $595, making it a one-time fee of $495.

We include 3 months of follow-up questions via email at no additional cost. That way, you can ask questions and not feel like you're on the clock.

What's the Cost if You Don't Use Our Service?

At a minimum, it's hours spent learning and applying student loan rules that you could've used to do something else.

If you get paid at least $20 an hour or prefer to spend your precious time efficiently, the service pays for itself pretty easily in time saved. For 90% of our clients, we find a five—to six-figure mistake in how they were managing their student debt.

“For the second time, SLP has proven to be very helpful in navigating my parent plus loans. They have guided me through processes including double consolidation, applying for (and receiving PSLF forgiveness), and now, helping me through the current confusing student loan climate. Their help and advice is well worth the money!”

“Michael was fabulous! As a recent PA school graduate, I was overwhelmed with debt and unsure of my next steps. I had anticipated refinancing and paying over $3,000 a month toward my loans-thankfully, that wasn't the case! Michael took the time to walk me through all of my options and even recommended a plan that would cost me less than $900 a month and potentially save over $15,000 in taxes. By the end of our call, I felt relieved and confident about moving forward.”

“Working with Michael at Student Loan Planner was an incredibly valuable experience. He took what felt like a confusing and stressful situation and broke it down in a way that was clear, approachable, and tailored to my goals.

Michael's expertise really showed - he walked me through all of my repayment options, helped me understand the pros and cons of each, and made sure I felt confident in the path forward. On top of that, he was easy to talk to and made the entire process feel much more manageable.

If you're feeling uncertain about your student loans, I highly recommend connecting with the Student Loan Planner team. This guidance was exactly what I needed.”

“We weren't sure it would be worth the time or money but it most certainly was. Derenda was prepared and thoughtfully laid out multiple paths for us. We are pretty self sufficient with our finances but couldn't make sense of my loans after graduation. 10/10.”

“Michael was great. He went step by step with me and included my husband in the conversation. He made something super stressful seem way easier to manage and a seamless transition from school to a full plan of repayment. He answered all of our questions and left us feeling at ease.”

“Derenda was AMAZING! Came very well prepared and answered all of my questions. It wasn't just a questions and answer zoom call, it was much more. Derenda prepared and laid out our situation in a very clear and direct format. Spreadsheets and calculators made for a visual understanding of things I had missed over the past couple of years. I have a clearer path forward and know if I need help in the next 3 months that Derenda is just an email away from assisting me. Because of Student Loan Planner I will save tens of thousands of dollars thanks to Derenda and have my loans forgiven years sooner. Best $600 ever spent!”

“Derenda was well prepared and provided me with a wealth of information about not only my own student loans, but also some information about those of my husband's. She summarized her suggestions in a concrete action plan with steps and deadlines. I feel great relief knowing that there is an end to my struggles with student loans.”

“Overall, the consultation was helpful for addressing federal student loan debt. But most of this I was already aware of by using the free calculator.

The bulk of my student debt was from a private state loan. Unfortunately, the call did not provide me with new information. Instead, I received a summary of what I had already understood from my own research.

For this reason, the consultation was valuable for the federal side but not was not worth the investment when dealing with the state/private loan. I wish this had been clear from the front end, since this ultimately felt like the fee was not worth it for my specific circumstances.”

“Travis did a great job of keeping us thinking positive, despite so much uncertainty in our current government. And, he educated us on the latest legislation with regard to student loan repayment plans.”

“This was the best investment in my future that I have ever made. I am not a wealthy guy. I am a 65 year old working professional making under $75k/yr. So, having over $100k of Parent Plus Loans has had me in a hopeless mood for years... and this cloud of debt has had a paralyzing effect on my life. But now, after a comprehensive review of my situation with Jake, I know what to do, how to do it, what not to do, and when. I feel absolutely relieved! What more could I ask? I will end up saving nearly $100k over the course of minimal repayment on IBR as I transition into retirement, and get credit for very low payments and likely forgiveness, if all goes as planned. Thank you for restoring joy for my future, Jake. Thank goodness for Travis and the Student Loan Planner staff.”

I will certainly be happy to recommend Student Loan Planner!!
Thank you again!! Be well and be safe, Tracey”
