More About Angie

Angie Pack, CFP®, CSLP®, is a Financial Planner at SLP Wealth and a Student Loan Consultant with Student Loan Planner. She joined the team in 2023, bringing a unique blend of experience from nearly 14 years in education and a deep personal connection to financial planning.

Before entering the financial services industry, Angie served as a high school teacher and career advisor for both undergraduate and graduate students. Her passion for service is lifelong—she taught English in the Palestinian Territories, launched two nonprofit organizations, and has been actively involved with service initiatives throughout her adult life.

Angie fell in love with personal finance while navigating $280,000+ of student loan debt from graduate school. Her husband, a pediatrician, had gone to medical school on a partial scholarship. However, even with a modest amount of loans, the loan balance had ballooned to a quarter of a million dollars by the end of residency. This, plus Angie’s graduate school debt, made them feel like they could not think about any other life goals — financial or otherwise — until the loans were paid.

Angie discovered the FIRE (Financial Independence Retire Early) movement, where she binged financial podcasts and blogs to develop a financial strategy to tackle the debt. She felt empowered by what she learned and became passionate about equipping others with the same knowledge. She decided to change careers to become a fiduciary financial planner to help Gen X, Millennial, and Gen Z clients with the unprecedented financial issues affecting these generations, like student loan debt.

Angie lives with her husband and their five children on the Monterey Bay in California. Outside of work, you can find her swimming with her local Masters team, training for a marathon with friends on the Coastal Recreation Trail and in Fort Ord National Monument, and serving in her church and community. She loves traveling, backpacking, reading, and girls’ nights.
